Meet the Middleton Lodge Team

Newly opened in Spring 2023, Middleton Lodge Care Home in Littleover, Derby, offers the highest standards in residential, dementia and respite care. Nurturing an atmosphere of care and companionship, the team at Middleton Lodge put residents at the centre of life in the home, with person-centred care tailored to individual circumstances. Home Manager: Jo Graves

Home Manager Jo Graves is a registered nurse with 30 years’ experience in healthcare. In her early career she specialised in cancer care.  Following this Jo undertook several roles within the acute care setting and worked as lead nurse for two private hospitals as well as working nationally in a variety of roles.  She has over 5 years’ experience as a Care Home CQC Registered Manager, specifically caring for residents with complex needs and those living with a dementia.

Jo says: ‘It is pleasure and a privilege to lead the team at Middleton Lodge to provide the highest quality care for those that we are privileged to care for.  We have a beautiful, state-of-the-art care home in the heart of a wonderful community in Littleover and it is my passion to create a home that becomes a valued part of that.

 

Deputy Manager: Danielle Odell

Danielle is a qualified healthcare professional with over 25 years of experience. She holds a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care Management and has worked in several management roles throughout the past ten years of her career.

Danielle explained, “It is an exciting time for Middleton Lodge. We are ready to welcome our first residents and start building our care community. We have recruited a friendly team of experienced care professionals, who provide the highest quality of care.”

Customer Service Manager: Kirsty Burgess

Kirsty works closely with residents and their families to ensure they are guided through each stage of their care journey, from initial enquiry through to admission. Kirsty also works to build relationships with community partners and promotes upcoming events and activities at Middleton Lodge.

Kirsty stated, “We believe first-class customer service goes hand in hand with the first-class care that we provide. I am here at each step of the way to ensure residents settle into their new home and enjoy their retirement years in comfort and style at Middleton Lodge.”

Head Chef: Ellis Williams

Bringing a wealth of knowledge to his role as Head Chef, Ellis has worked in care homes for over 7 years, having previously owned his own bistro. He is adept in planning and preparing nutritious and delicious meals for residents and skilfully adapts meals into cutlery-free options for those who find manipulating cutlery a barrier.

Ellis’ cheerful character never fails to bring a smile to everyone’s day, and he stated, “I have been busy planning a selection of menus for residents, from three-course lunch menus to afternoon teas. The team and I aim to provide exceptional service, and we are looking forward to welcoming residents to Middleton Lodge. There will always be freshly baked pastries and cakes in our café for residents and visitors to enjoy!”
