Grand Opening of Middleton Lodge
On Thursday 12th October, staff and residents at Middleton Lodge welcomed friends, loved ones and community members for an ‘Afternoon at the Oscars’ to celebrate the grand opening of the home. Guests enjoyed cocktails and canapes upon arrival before the opening ceremony, and speeches took place. The musical duo, Paper Kite, entertained everyone, and guests took part in a range of casino-themed activities. Joining the home for the celebrations was special guest Mayor of Derby, Cllr Alan Graves, who proudly performed the ribbon cutting ceremony to declare the home officially open.
Resident Ambassador Leslie explained, “I couldn’t ask for a better place to live. I am extremely happy here. The home and all staff are wonderful.” Home Manager Joanne Graves said, “We had an amazing day. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon at the Oscars; we were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Derby and Paper Kite singers. Our beautiful home is filled with smiles and laughter, thanks to our wonderful residents and staff team. It is a privilege to be part of this journey and care for all those that reside in our welcoming community.”
