Acer House serves up a great CQC result
Acer House Care Home in Weston-super-Mare is happy to announce that we have just achieved a ‘Good In All Categories’ rating after a recent and unannounced inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC)!
The report highlights comments from residents, relatives and staff, such as: “You can do everything you want to do here. You’re free to go out; you could go to the shop next door if you wanted to”, “The food is very good and there’s plenty of it, too much sometimes, but you can always ask for a smaller portion” and “The staff are really lovely, they come in and check on you and they hold your hand and listen to you”. People said that they felt safe and happy in the home: “It’s a very good standard of care”, “I’m very happy and couldn’t be happier”. When asked about the staff, people said: “The staff are very good at their job, they know what they’re doing, and you can rely on them and can’t fault them at all” and “The staff are absolutely wonderful, it’s as if they’re hand-picked”.
We are all delighted to celebrate this great achievement, but none more so that our Home Manager Kate Sweeting, who said: “I am extremely proud of my team as it is down to their hard work, dedication and commitment to our residents that we were awarded Good In All Categories”.
Well done to everyone at Acer House, this is an incredible result!
