A Decade of Hinckley House

A decade has passed since Hinckley House Care Home in Hinckley, Leicestershire, first opened its doors, and what a glorious ten years it has been. On the 8th of July, the home was transformed into a whimsical Wonderland, as residents and guests alike were invited to join in the festivities of its 10th anniversary. The Alice in Wonderland-themed party was a sight to behold, with face painting, music, and dancing by the talented Katie Rose and Lesley Ann. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the mad hatters’ tea party, complete with a scrumptious cake that left everyone wanting more. Hinckley and Bosworth Mayor, Cllr Scott Gibbens, was also in attendance, adding to the excitement of the day. As the celebrations drew to a close, the home took the opportunity to recognise three of its dedicated team members who had also reached the ten-year milestone, Senior Care Assistant Sarah Royles, Laundry Assistant Elaine Stocker and Deputy Chef Donna Clarke.

Speaking on the day Home Manager, Paul Botham said, “It has been a great opportunity to be part of this beautiful home’s history over the past eight years. To see the home grow into an integral part of the community, delivering such a high standard of care, working with, managing, and building such a great team has been a privilege. It was a delight to celebrate and recognise those staff that have been at the service from the beginning.” It was a day filled with joy and laughter. Here’s to another ten years of Hinckley House!
