Our care home in Sunderland is situated close to the Fulwell Quarry Nature Reserve, which isn’t too far from the sea, adding to its peaceful atmosphere.

Highcliffe Care Home is light and airy throughout, with a range of excellent facilities our residents can enjoy, including:

• Good-sized bedrooms with en-suite washrooms – ready for our residents to make their own.
• Inviting lounges – perfect for social activity or just sitting quietly.
• Our wonderful garden, with seating, a gazebo and raised beds full of plants for our green fingered residents – a lovely spot for a cuppa.

Being such a short distance from the beach, you’ll often find staff and residents heading there in our minibus for a bracing stroll.

Life within our residential care home in Sunderland is always stimulating and varied. Our energetic Activity Co-ordinators organise many events. So, whatever our resident’s interests, there’s always something to get involved in.

Delicious Dining at Highcliffe Care Home

Fish and chips are an old favourite – especially when you’re by the seaside! Naturally, they might turn up on our menu on a Friday.  Our chef and his team make sure it tastes great – with fresh fish and homemade batter.

There’s an emphasis on freshly cooked, healthily balanced meals, made with locally sourced produce where possible. We’re good at catering for poor appetites and know how to make food look great.

Between meals, we’re spoiled too – with home-baked cakes and pastries and fresh fruit. Our residents’ guests are always welcome to dine with us at any time. We love to make mealtimes a sociable occasion. Come and join us!
