Dementia Nursing Care in Camberley

Camberley Care Home has a dedicated memory suite that provides a light and safe environment for our residents who are living with dementia.  The dedicated team enjoy supporting residents to maintain life skills and encourage activities that promote memories and a contented sense of achievement.  This could involve helping with laying the table in the dining room, working with the maintenance team planting Spring bulbs in the garden or preparing arts and crafts activities with the Well-being and Activities team ready for their fellow residents to enjoy in the afternoon.  All activities are designed around the individual with their personality with previous hobbies very much at the forefront of daily life.  Our Surrey care home welcomes weekly events to family members and friends from the local community for our mothers and toddlers club, allowing the intergenerational links with our residents to blossom. Trips out in our minibus to places of interest are a enjoyed here at Camberley Woods Care Home and we are also open to suggestions for new places to visit.

Mealtimes at Camberley Woods Care Home is a wonderful time to sit back and enjoy the excellent dining experience presented by the team.  The menu is as varied as it is nutritious and delicious, with residents often telling us they have never eaten so well on a daily basis.  What sets mealtimes apart at Camberley Woods Care Home is the way the chef and kitchen team engage with the residents to include them in meal planning and ensure everyone’s tastes are accommodated for.  Fine dining options are always on the menu but sometimes we all like something simple and of course there are the favourites.  It’s not uncommon for the residents to wish for a change of scene so you will find us at the local pub having a meal or we might order in fish and chips.   

Whatever the time of year, the ingredients we cook with are of the highest quality and menus are seasonal to reflect changing fresh ingredients.
