We welcome the community to us, but we also look outwards as well and put on fundraising activities for local charities. Family members are encouraged to join in with these efforts, if not in reality then virtually through our Facebook pages which we update regularly. We also have residents’ and family committees that help us steer home life.
Social media is a good connector and is of special benefit when supporting with those who have dementia. As a well-regarded dementia care home in Wellingborough we make it our mission to do everything we can to keep families connected.
Not all our vegetables can be taken from the garden, but Chef is always casting his eye over our beds to see what is available. After all you can’t get much fresher than just a few steps from the back door. But if not from the garden, then the vegetables and all our food is as fresh as it can be, sourced locally from across Northamptonshire and cooked in our kitchen.
Food and dining is a critical part of life at Dukes Court and we like to think that our dining experience matches that of any good restaurant. You’ll find all the traditional favourites on the menu, as well as more exotic options such as curries and goulashes. At mealtimes, the room is filled with happy chatter and guests are quite welcome to join us. Why not visit our care home in Wellingborough for an aperitif or a glass of wine? When the weather permits, we love a nice cuppa in the garden with some of Chef’s freshly baked cakes and pastries. And you’ll find healthy savoury snacks and fruit on offer throughout the day as well.
