Lavender Lodge Celebrates CQC Result
Lavender Lodge Care Home in Farnborough has scored ‘Good Overall’ with an ‘Outstanding’ in the Well-Led category by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) at a recent unannounced inspection.
The CQC grades the services delivered in care homes in five categories (Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led) and adjudged that Lavender Lodge and its staff scored consistently highly throughout.
Lavender Lodge is a well-established home with a friendly and well-known staff group that has great care at the heart of all it does for its residents.
Home Manager Gigi Despojo was delighted: “At Lavender Lodge, we have a philosophy and commitment to promoting independence and choice for our residents, supported by the highest quality care. It is a very happy home that offers friendship and a stimulating and interesting lifestyle. We are all very proud to have attained this CQC rating.”

One person told CQC, “They are brilliant here.”
A relative said, “They are absolutely wonderful. The staff are phenomenal – I can’t fault it.”
Another comment received from a relative was, “I have complete faith in all of the staff, they are very aware of my Mother’s needs.”
A further comment was, “The staff are always extremely kind, caring and helpful. The best decision I ever made for my Mother’s care was moving her to Lavender Lodge.”
A big thank you goes to all the staff here at Lavender Lodge, from maintenance to Home Manager and House Keeping to care staff. Our team are all incredibly hard working, caring and make the biggest difference to all our wonderful residents, as reflected in this report.
