As part of the ‘Avery ReConnect Programme’, we are developing the use of poetry sessions, utilising audio books and local artists to deliver poetry in a variety of dialects from Welsh, ‘Brummie’ to Patois. Our chefs enjoy experimenting with Caribbean, Asian and European dishes, which go down a treat with residents. We are also well-versed at catering for those with special dietary requirements, either for religious or health reasons. Our catering team pride themselves on ensuring they are aware of specific likes and dislikes and are well acquainted with all the traditional favourites.
Dining is an integral part of life in our Birmingham care home. There are dining rooms on each floor where residents can enjoy each other’s company, and we also have a beautiful private dining area where friends and family can gather with their loved ones. As well as three delicious meals served daily, residents can indulge in a selection of freshly baked cakes, chocolate treats and savoury snacks throughout the day.
