A Warm Welcome Awaits at Hanford Court
Hanford Court Care Home in Stoke-on-Trent is a care home with a difference, nurturing an atmosphere of companionship and togetherness and providing high standards of residential, dementia and respite care, which is reflected in the home’s rating from the Care Quality Commission of good overall with an outstanding rating for care.
Our home has excellent relations with our local community, regularly receiving visits from local schools, nurseries, and other groups for valuable intergenerational interactions. At Hanford Court, we firmly believe that moving into a care home doesn’t mean giving up the things you enjoy. Our dedicated Well-being and Activities team encourage residents to continue doing the things that make them happy and try various new activities.
Daily activities and events range from arts and crafts, poetry and book clubs, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, and baking. On 12th December, we hosted a successful Christmas Fair, inviting loved ones and local community members to celebrate the festive season with stalls, delicious treats, and live entertainment.
Meet the Manager
Hanford Court’s Manager, Gemma, has worked at the home for 11 years, describing it as her second home. With over 17 years of experience in the healthcare sector, her previous roles have included Carer, Senior Carer, Team Leader, Trainer, and Deputy Manager.
Gemma has shared many treasured moments with residents, explaining, “Seeing residents smile daily motivates me to perform at the highest level. One proud moment I will cherish throughout my career was when I fulfilled one resident’s dream of riding in a helicopter. It was so special to see how happy they were.”
“We have multiple cosy lounges throughout our home, where you will often find me having a cuppa and a natter with one of our residents. I look forward to welcoming you to the Hanford Court care community.”
