Celebrating Mother’s Day
Staff and residents across our homes were eager to celebrate Mother’s Day, recognising everything our maternal figures do for us. Beginning their celebrations in style, those at Hanford Court Care Home at Stoke-on-Trent were treated to a delicious afternoon tea. Loved ones were invited along to join residents in the dining room, which was decorated for the occasion by Well-being and Activity Co-ordinators, Lisa and Nikki.
We are proud to have several mother-and-daughter duos working as part of the team at Derby Heights Care Home in Littleover, Derby, and staff and residents took part in a Mothering Sunday photography session with Photographer, Amy McDonald. Funds raised on the day were donated to the Alzheimer’s Society, with residents, friends, and family tucking into a cream tea in the atrium after the session. One family member stated, “I thought it was such a lovely touch by Derby Heights and Amy. She was lovely and made the experience lots of fun. it was the perfect finishing touch to Mother’s Day, and we now have a lovely family photo to cherish.”
