It’s Garden Party Time at South Lodge
With government lockdown restrictions easing, and the beautiful sunny weather we have had throughout July, South Lodge Care Home in Leicester jumped at the opportunity to welcome live entertainers back to their home. It was the first time in 18 months they were able to invite singers back into their gardens, and it is fair to say our residents have undoubtedly missed them.
Topping off a fun-packed week of activities fundraising for the Care Worker’s Charity, the home hosted their first garden party since lockdown. Singer Eleonor entertained the residents by performing a variety of 50s classics. There was plenty of dancing, laughter and singing from all in the sunshine. One resident quoted, “It’s so lovely to have such great entertainment back in the home. I loved all the music and singing and cannot wait for the next one to come.”
