Easter Egg S’mile

To celebrate spring, we wanted to give back to our local communities, who have been so supportive to us during the last year, so our homes challenged themselves to make a mile-long Easter egg trail, an ‘Easter Egg S’mile’. Residents asked for donations of Easter Eggs to be dropped off at their home’s front door throughout March, and before staff bounced off in their Bunny Bus to distribute the eggs to local children, measured the line. A whopping 34 of our homes took part and, when the eggs were lined up, reached 690.4 metres or 0.4 miles. Not quite a mile, but a fantastic achievement given current restrictions.

The overall winner was Milton Court in Milton Keynes, who raised a staggering 569 eggs reaching 80.7 metres long. The home said an extra special thank you to Tesco Bletchley, who kindly donated £300’s worth of eggs, and they had great fun going out into their community to deliver the eggs on their Bunny Bus, including Giffard Park Primary School, Pebbles Children’s Centre, and Hummingbird Children’s Centre. Thank you to all our homes that have gone the extra ‘S’mile’ to be able to give children in their local community a boost this Easter after such a challenging year.
