With the residents, they contribute to the running of the care home and have a say in setting up societies, like the wine society and chess club, for instance, and what goes on the menu. Our chef likes nothing better than laying on a spread for special and community events, such as fetes and open days, when we attract quite a crowd, not to mention the Mayor! But equal care is taken over our daily meals when there is always a choice of fresh, locally sourced if at all possible, and nutritionally balanced dishes. Special diets and are no trouble and we have ways and means of tempting those with small appetites.

Freshly baked cakes and pastries, as well as fruit are always available should you feel peckish between meals, and milestone birthdays and anniversaries are marked with beautiful cakes. Dining is the social highlight of the day and we make sure that as many of us as possible gather together to share and enjoy each other’s company.
